Is it too late for me to get a job as an auto tech ?

I'm 37 years old & am in college for this to earn an associate degree in. I work in a good factory, but am not happy with the town it's in which is the town I live in. I'm worried about younger competition in this field. Not to mention I'm single at this point in my life & it's not a good small town for single folks. My goal is to get some ASE certifcations under my belt & also get a job in a bigger city. (I'm in southwest, Ohio by the way). As i write this I realize that I'm in need of a life change as well. Any advice & input would be greatly appreceated.
