What else can auto mechanics do?

i was an auto mechanic for 19 years,after being hurt in the army i physically cant work on vehicles in the capacity i once used to.i am ase certified(expired due to not being a tech anymore),also brand certified.i was a land rover tech for 13 years now i am a independant mechanical inspector......this job is horrible.i make a small fraction of what i used to.i expend alot of time and money to make no money. ive worn out my car,camera and computer i sold my tools to make end meet and i have no other skills as i spent all my time becoming a master tech.my question is is there any jobs as a tech we can do and actually make money?or should i just step in front of a train?
