No Cry Sleep Solution?

My daughter is 9 months and we are transitioning to a crib via the No Cry Sleep Solution...my question is when do you start implementing the phases such as rocking less to the point where they can be calmed by your cue words? i figured our biggest hurdle was getting her in her crib and wanted her to get used to it before i started this...thanks :) and any tips or your experience with it would be really helpful!
