Mom says I'm to young for a belly ring?

i am not some nasty person or telling you what to do etc & you will probably get angry with me too but this is good advice sweetheart! you say you want to 'pull eyes away from a disgusting scar'?? well have you ever seen a scar from a previously infected belly button piercing?? let me tell you they look awful! I should know, I have one! I had one done when I was 13 & a half and needless to say even tho I was very careful, it got infected! it wasn't just a little infection either, I ended up with needing major surgery and then mths of wound packing to heal the wound! so I now have a huge painful scar across my abdomen! you sound like you wouldn't really listen to anyone and would just go ahead and get one. I hope you do reconsider and wait till later! belly rings are hard to look after and take a lot of work. also if you are so concerned about your chest scar, you really need to stop and think whether you are mature enough to get a belly ring. I know people who have scars on them because of cancer surgery and where they have treatments etc, the last thing on their mind is what their scars are like! they more concerned about fighting to survive than how their scars look!
